Google Toolbar distributed with Adobe's products

Yesterday, Adobe entered into a multi-year agreement with Google to offer Google Toolbar with various Adobe’s products. Presently, Google Toolbar is offered with Macromedia Shockwave Player and will be added into various products in the future. Press release can be found on the Adobe’s site HERE.

Yesterday itself I have downloaded Shockwave Player into my Firefox browser, but it has offered "Yahoo Toolbar".

New browser -- Opera 9 has been launched

According to the press release on Opera’s webiste…Opera 9, its newest browser for PCs, has been launched in 25 languages for Windows, Mac, Linux, and other platforms yesterday. It includes the new features like built-in BitTorrent software– popular file distribution technology, “widgets” – tiny useful web programs that you can run right on the desktop, add your favorite search engine, site preferences, improved rich text editing, content blocker, and thumbnail preview. Opera claims that it maintains the highest security and speed what Opera fans are expecting.

Creative launches new mp3 player - Zen V Plus

Creative has launched a new mp3 player today named as Zen V Plus – an mp3, photo, and video player with built-in FM radio.

According to it’s press release today on their web site, the ZEN V Plus includes all of the following features:

“• The smooth contours and tiny size of the ZEN V Plus enable it to fit naturally in your fingertips or to tuck away easily in a small pocket or purse. Available in glossy black or white with fun color accents of orange, green or blue, the ZEN V Plus looks as great as it feels.

First Computer Hacking Course in University

University of Abertay, Dundee is going to launch Britain's first degree course in computer hacking where the students can learn government-accredited "ethical hacker" course. As per the Times Online, students will learn how to crack the most sophisticated security systems with the chief aim of advising organizations on how to protect their networks.

The course will begin in September. During the selection and thorughout the course, the students will be monitored, so that they don't use the skills in a wrong way.

Google launches online photo album service -- Picasa Web Albums

Today, Google announced on their official weblog that they are launching a new service of online photo albums, which is free, called Picasa Web Albums. Picasa, Google's free desktop photo management software, now comes embedded with the feature to publish the albums online on PicasaWeb. Once the photos are published, any one can see the photos organized in albums and can see the thumbnails. On PicasaWeb, people can easily organize their photos and can make comments and share with whomever they want. With the help of Picasa, one can not only publish the album online, but also can download the online albums into the Picasa.

Picasa Web Albums comes with 250 MB free space, which accommodates approximately 1,000 photos and there is an option to upgrade where with a fee of $25.00 per year, users can get 6 GB of storage where approximately 25,000 photos can be stored.
